Jory, Liz and Liz's mom Marti went to DC over the last couple of days. Liz went to participate in the 3rd Annual Pancreatic Cancer Advocacy Days.She spent Monday learning how to lobby and on Tuesday she "hit the hill" and visited Senators Gillibrand and Schumer as well as Congressman Rangel and even Congressman Engel from the Bronx/Mt. In Liz's final meeting, which was with the actual Congressman (most often when lobbying you meet with the Legislative Aid), the Congressman agreed to co-sponsor HR 745 The Pancreatic Cancer Research and Education Act.
